George Anthony Ribeiro
has been in practice for over 20 years. He is a partner at Vivien
Chan & Co., and the Chief Legal Representative of the firm's
Shanghai office in Mainland China. |

George's practice areas cover securities,
mergers and acquisitions, direct China investment, technology transfer
and valuation, and litigation/arbitration. He has structured investment
operations in Greater China for multinationals in the consumer
product, network selling, information technology and service industries
to cater for both practice and law with respect to asset protection,
regulatory compliance and tax efficiency. In Hong Kong, he was
responsible for listing the firm's information technology group
on The Growth Enterprise Market of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
on its first trading day of 25 November 1999. George has also led
major litigation cases, where precedents have been established,
in Greater China and Hong Kong. |

George's practice has won recognition.
He is an Honoured Member of International Who's Who 1998, Member
of the Panel of Intervention Agents of the Hong Kong Law Society
and the Chapter Chair for Hong Kong of the International Law and
Practice Section of NYSBA. He has also been identified
as one of Asia's Leading Lawyers in Intellectual Property in from year 2004 to 2005 and Dispute
Resolution from year 2004 to 2007 by Asia Law & Practice. |
